NaturalJax started as an online community on Yahoo Groups because there were a lot of naturists who wanted to communicate with other people who share their lifestyle of body acceptance.

The NaturalJax Yahoo Group started on March 4, 2005 and has gained at least one new person, family or s per day since we started. Many of our members are already members of AANR, INA and other naturist organizations. Many of our members have been or are members of Northeast Florida Naturists. (NFN)

We promote our way of life as being natural, healthy, and a good way to raise our children – therefore we are not ashamed to admit that we are nudists. We know that there is nothing wrong with nudism. We will work with other organizations to erase the stigmas associated with nudism.

We have had great times during the past couple years meeting at places such as Hidden River, Cypress Cove, Lake Como, Apollo and Playa Linda. We realize that it is time that we spend time and money in our own back yard.

Building Community

Our membership has initially grown through our NaturalJax Yahoo Group, word of mouth and postings on other naturist sites. Now that we are in the Spring Season, we will start having get-togethers and plan events, fund raisers, and publicity campaigns to promote NaturalJax and Body Acceptance. The Community that we are talking about is not about houses, roads, stores, and offices. The most important asset in our community is our members. Promoting Body Acceptance It’s about time that each of us pay our fair share through dues, monetary contributions, commitment of our time, volunteering of our talents, and becoming more involved in the affairs of our Association.	It’s about time that more of us “come out of the closet” and share our opinions about our recreational choice with our friends and neighbors. Our Future
Creating Our Place In Northeast Florida, we have five options to be able to enjoy our lifestyle; 1) Stay within our homes, 2) Visit other nudist homes 3) Travel out of town to "legal places" 4) Find a secluded place nearby to enjoy freedom. 5) Find property in our area that we could convert to a haven for our peers. With the rapid growth of our online membership, we could realize the dream of option 5 within the next two years. We are planning an inaugural meeting of NaturalJax, read Dave's Letter	N.E. Florida B.E.A.C.H.E.S Initiative Clothing Optional Beaches are sprouting up all over the world as society accept that we only want to enjoy a lifestyle free of bondage. In Florida, Haulover Beach in Miami-Dade County is an excellent example of how a community group can successfully campaign to secure a beach for all to enjoy. The Canaveral National Seashore is another example of how the community can successfully campaign to overcome obsticles created by stigmas. On the Gulf Coast, there are several groups that are successfully working to negotiate beaches in their areas.
In Northeast Florida, we still have to drive a hundred miles to enjoy a beach, the way God intended.
